Kristyn Tumbleson

Director

Kristyn Tumbleson is a director with Coxe Curry & Associates. She brings a wealth of experience with her to this role from the nonprofit and education sectors, with a background in strategic planning, corporate and foundation relations, and educational leadership. As an associate director, Kristyn works with clients on fundraising strategy and develops case statements and fundraising materials. She has had the privilege of working with a diverse set of clients, including but not limited to the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, Chattahoochee Nature Center, Extra Special People, Fellowship Christian School, Future Foundation, Fulton Leadership Academy, Georgia Aquarium, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, Interfaith Outreach Home, redefinED Atlanta, the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, St. Pius X Catholic High School, Sweet Auburn Works, The Forest School, The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta, Wellspring Living, and Trees Atlanta.

Prior to joining Coxe Curry, Kristyn was the director of education at Georgia Aquarium, where she had a strong focus on building community partnerships, fundraising for signature programming, and developing relevant STEAM-centered experiences for students in grades K-12. During this time, she also served on the board of directors at Centennial Academy and was an active member on the Technology Association of Georgia Education Advisory Board as well as the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation’s Pipeline Project. Previously, Kristyn was an educator, head of grade, and leadership team member at The Mount Vernon School, where she helped implement new approaches to teaching and learning. She began her career in the blues city of Memphis, Tennessee, as a Teach for America corps member teaching English as a Second Language, which inspired her passion for educational equity.

Kristyn graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and French literature. She is also an alumna of GeorgiaForward’s Young Gamechangers program as well as Klingenstein Summer Institute at Columbia University.

Originally from New Hampshire, Kristyn and her husband Tom are proud residents of Roswell with their two young children.
