At Coxe Curry, Dan helps lead the strategic direction of the firm and provides principal counsel to clients. Dan joined the firm in 2001 as a research associate and transitioned to consulting in 2006. With a Coxe Curry tenure of more than 20 years, his experience includes conducting campaign planning studies and development assessments and directing campaigns. Dan consults with clients of all shapes and sectors and has deep expertise in public-private partnerships, arts and culture, preservation, environment/greenspaces, and human services.

Recently, he’s counseled clients including the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Grant Park Conservancy, Grove Park Foundation, HOPE Atlanta, Jewish HomeLife, Lifecycle Building Center, Moving in the Spirit, Okefenokee Swamp Park, ONE Cumberland, Raising Expectations, WABE, and Youth Villages Georgia.

In the community, Dan is a member of the Whitefoord, Inc. board of directors, the Atlanta Mayor’s LGBTQ Advisory Board, and was a founding board member of Professional Adoption & Family Services. He’s served on the nominating committee for the Atlanta Beltline Partnership since 2017 and has been a member of the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Cole Society since 2018. Dan is an alumnus of Leadership Atlanta (2023), LEAD Atlanta (2022 alumni co-chair), Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta (2014), and MS Leadership Society (2010).

Before joining us, Dan was a legislative intern in the Washington office of Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. His interest in political science and research led him to Georgia State University, where he received a BA in political science and sociology.

Dan and his family live in Atlanta’s Morningside neighborhood.
