At Coxe Curry, MacKensie directs campaign planning studies, capital campaigns, development assessments, trainings, and consults on donor relations, grants management, events, and other fundraising projects. Over her 10+ years with us, she’s worked with nonprofits and corporate clients of all shapes and sectors, including public-private partnerships, independent schools, and social service agencies. She also leverages her marketing, design, and communications experience in her work with clients.   

Recently, she’s worked with the Atlanta Beltline Partnership, Atlanta History Center, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Nature Conservancy, Oglethorpe University, Partners for HOME, The Study Hall, Trilith Institute, Woodward Academy, and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta.

In the community, MacKensie is the immediate past president of the Whitefield Academy Alumni Board and the grants chair for Impact100 Atlanta. She has served on the board of L’Arche Atlanta (communications chair and secretary) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Atlanta Chapter (past vice president of communications and National Philanthropy Day chair). She is also a member of LEAD Atlanta’s Class of 2020.

Before joining us, she began her nonprofit career at the Frazer Center, where she planned and produced fundraising events, managed volunteers and annual fundraising efforts, maintained a donor database, and created communications and marketing materials.

A native Atlantan, MacKensie graduated from the University of Georgia’s Honors College with degrees in psychology and international affairs. She lives in Kirkwood with her husband, Andrew, and their two young children.
