As Coxe Curry’s Chief Operating Officer, Ali strengthens our systems and operations, leads talent and professional development, drives innovation, manages new product development, and directs our Advancement Services and Interim Solutions departments. She joined the firm in 2012 after a 15-year career in fundraising in higher education.

Ali also provides principal counsel to clients as a Managing Director. Recently, she’s counseled clients including Beloved Benefit, a program of The Same House; Berry College; CARE USA; Clark Atlanta University; Columbia Theological Seminary; Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta; Grady Health Foundation; Oglethorpe University; and The Salvation Army.

In the community, Ali volunteers with her children’s schools and North Point Community Church. She's been an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the Public Relations Society of America, and the Junior League.

Before joining us, Ali worked in fundraising at Baylor University, where she also earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. At Baylor, she was the assistant vice president, campaign director, and a member of the development division’s senior leadership team. She worked closely with the University’s Board of Regents Development Committee and managed the University’s campaign volunteers. Her campaign experience includes spearheading the internal assessment and feasibility studies for Baylor’s campaigns, including the $100 million President’s Scholarship Initiative, the $500 million Campaign for Greatness, and a $1.2 billion campaign during Baylor’s most prolific building era. Over her career, she’s received numerous CASE and ADDY Awards.

Ali is married to Eric Abercrombie, who works in public affairs and communications, and they have three children.
