Coxe Curry has worked closely with Grady Health System on fundraising strategies over the past 15 years, beginning in 2008, when we planned and directed the Greater Grady campaign that raised $325 million to prevent the hospital’s closure.
Today, Grady is one of the largest safety net health systems in the United States and provides care at the 953-bed Grady Hospital, the Correll Pavilion, and through six (soon to be eight) facilities inside and outside of the Perimeter. Grady is Atlanta's only Level I trauma center and serves as the 911 ambulance provider for the City of Atlanta.
While remaining committed to the healthcare needs of the underserved and fostering greater health equity in Atlanta, Grady offers a full range of specialized medical services for the entire community and is home to the Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center, Walter L. Ingram Burn Center, Heart & Vascular Center, and Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence. As one of the leading teaching hospitals in the area, Grady Hospital offers essential training to medical students from around the world, making sure future healthcare providers are equipped to provide exceptional service.

We deepened our work with the Grady Health Foundation in 2016-2019 by planning and directing a capital campaign that raised $96 million in philanthropic support. This fueled the expansion of the Ponce de Leon Center, one of America’s most comprehensive facilities dedicated to treating advanced HIV/AIDS, and the construction of the Correll Pavilion, a state-of-the-art facility that houses outpatient surgery, imaging, rehabilitation, multiple specialty clinics, Grady’s cancer center, and three pharmacies.
As the Foundation considered the future of its fundraising efforts, we then completed a comprehensive development assessment to refine its general operations, ensure its long-term sustainability, and expand its annual fundraising programs.
And now, we’re helping the Foundation’s good work get to greater impact through ongoing consulting work focused on growing both philanthropic support and broader understanding of the critical role that Grady Health System plays in the metro Atlanta region.
