Murphy-Harpst Children’s Centers
Hope & Healing
Murphy-Harpst Children’s Centers meet the needs of abused and neglected young people through residential treatment, placements in specialized foster care, and community programs that serve at-risk youth and their families.
Nestled on 160 acres in the foothills of Northwest Georgia, the nonprofit welcomes children suffering from lifetimes of severe trauma and neglect, providing them with a loving place to thrive and heal. A combination of evidence-based therapy and time-tested care and mentorship helps them learn to cope with trauma and move forward toward a future full of hope and possibility.
Murphy-Harpst relies on various revenue sources to provide its caring services, including public and private grant funding. In 2023, when their grant manager position was vacant, the organization engaged us to provide interim services.
We bridged their staffing gap with a tenured expert who had a strong history of writing both federal government and foundation proposals. This interim associate not only managed their current grant pipeline, but they also identified new revenue sources for the nonprofit.
Murphy-Harpst continues to partner with our Interim Solutions team on grant management. While our interim associate fills this important role, they can stay focused on maintaining the momentum of their mission.
