Meg Brooks
At Coxe Curry, Meg partners with our clients to craft communications strategies and write case statements, grant proposals, and campaign brochures. She is our newest team member and brings to Coxe Curry years of experience working with Atlanta-area independent schools and nonprofits.
Before joining us, Meg was the Director of Programs and Partnerships at the Decatur Education Foundation, where she developed initiatives and relationships to support the needs of local students. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade in the classroom teaching high school humanities at Marist School and the Mount Vernon School. While at Mount Vernon, she created and piloted the school's Experiential Learning Coordinator role, helping teachers design and implement standards-aligned, off-campus learning opportunities to enhance their curriculum. Her nonprofit experience also includes five years with the High Museum of Art.
In the community, Meg is a part-time musician and songwriter who occasionally performs local shows with her band, The Brookses (of which her dad is also a member). She’s also shared her love for music as a volunteer with Y’all Rock Camp.
Meg is an Atlanta native and holds a BA in English language and literature from the University of Chicago and an MA from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College. She and her family live in South Atlanta’s High Point neighborhood and are avid crossword puzzle solvers, hikers, and readers.
