Matthew McCauley
At Coxe Curry, Matthew’s comprehensive prospect research, database updates, and data analytics skills equip our clients with insights that inform their strategies and drive their growth. At the firm, he specializes in creating custom data visualization tools for our clients and our client teams.
Recently, he’s worked with Atlanta Mission, Georgia Institute of Technology, Project Chimps, Purpose Built Communities, and The Temple.
Matthew actively participates in professional development events where he can share his prospect research and analytics knowledge with peers to impact their fundraising efforts. He has presented at conferences held by APRA Chapters Share The Knowledge, CASE, and GEAC.
Before joining us, Matthew had a diverse professional background in higher education focused on data analysis and management. He started his career at the University of Georgia's housing department, where he spent four years as an administrator and quality assurance specialist. There, Matthew collaborated with UGA's information technology outreach services to develop interactive visuals from the housing database. In 2019, he transitioned to UGA’s research and prospect management team as a development analyst, where he honed his skills in researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting prospect data to key stakeholders in the development and alumni relations department. His expertise with tools like Qlik, and CRM systems like Blackbaud advanced the university’s fundraising efforts through data-driven insights and visualizations.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Matthew currently lives in Winterville with his wife, Heather, and their young son. Fun fact: Matthew's great-grandfather was a riveter on the Titanic.
