David Eidson
At Coxe Curry, David sets the strategic direction and ensures the business health of the firm, mentors our client-facing directors, and provides principal counsel to clients. After more than 20 years of volunteer leadership in Atlanta alongside his career in the financial sector, David turned his avocation for supporting nonprofits into his vocation. He brought his extensive experience to the firm in 2012.
Recently, he’s counseled clients including Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, Chattahoochee Nature Center, Corners Outreach, Grady Health Foundation, Piedmont Park Conservancy, Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, The Salvation Army, Woodruff Arts Center, and YMCA of Metro Atlanta.
In the community, David has volunteered in leadership roles for many nonprofits. He's a past member of the boards of the Atlanta Community Food Bank (treasurer and executive committee member), Hands On Atlanta (treasurer and development committee chair), and the Emory Healthcare advisory board. David also held volunteer leadership roles in fundraising activities for Auburn University, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the United Way, and Wesleyan School. An alumnus of Leadership Atlanta, he's also an active member of the Atlanta Rotary Club.
Before joining us, David spent 27 years in the financial sector. Over his corporate and investment banking career, he served as head of SunTrust’s corporate banking and as vice chairman and head of debt capital markets for SunTrust Robinson-Humphrey. He went on to hold executive leadership roles with RidgeWorth Capital Management (a SunTrust subsidiary)—including chief operating officer, chief executive officer, and chairman. There, he worked with nonprofit boards and finance committees to oversee the management of their organizations’ investable assets.
An honors graduate of Auburn University, David and his wife, Debby, have two adult sons.
