Covenant House Georgia

More Than a Shelter

As part of the larger family of Covenant House shelters, Covenant House Georgia (CHGA) opened in 2000 and has since served more than 19,000 youth experiencing homeless and escaping trafficking in Atlanta. Covenant House Georgia doesn’t just provide these youth with a bed and a meal: it shows them unconditional love and gives them comprehensive support so that they can and will realize their fullest potential.

After directing and managing their Building on a Promise capital campaign that supported an expansion of the P.J. Garcia Crisis Center and the construction of the 30-unit Gift of Hope supportive housing building for young adults, CHGA next utilized Coxe Curry’s assessment, data analytics, and Interim Solutions services.

Having experienced campus, program, and staff expansion, our researchers and analysts evaluated donor data and benchmarking data to help Covenant House Georgia pinpoint its success metrics and growth opportunities. We analyzed historical giving trends and CHGA’s staffing structure, identified prospects for specific programs and constituencies, and used forecasting data to make recommendations for strategic planning, goal setting, and development staff workload management.

Coxe Curry has been a Godsend to Covenant House Georgia. We have been thoroughly impressed with their expertise; professionalism; coaching style; knowledge; connectedness; and full range of support. We could not have dreamed of a better team of professionals guiding us through our capital campaign with ease as Coxe Curry has done. Not only have they provided spot on consultation guiding the success of our campaign in record breaking time, but they have gone up and beyond the call of duty introducing us to supporters beyond the capital campaign that have led to remarkable relationships.
— Dr. Alie Redd, Executive Director, Covenant House Georgia

Armed with these findings—which we presented in one of our custom data analytics dashboards—Covenant House Georgia was equipped to refine its stewardship strategy, maximize the capacity of existing donors, reengage lapsed donors, and level-up other aspects of its development work.

And as they’re needed, our Interim Solutions associates step in to provide on the ground foundation relations, events, and grants management support—making CHGA’s to-do lists more doable.
